Then there is a survival mode with different routes which will test your skills, and then there is a gallery mode with lots of fan service content. It's a very fun and interesting mode which might swallow most of your time.
Points which will allow you to level up, which will let you gain access to new mobile suits, some mobiles will automatically be unlocked as a story set, as you progress you will befriend other characters, fighting with them will build up your friendship with them, high friendship will allow you to gain full access to those characters and you can select them instead of Shin, assuming those battles are not character fixed, befriended characters may also become your allies during battles when fighting against them, fighting against them or killing them will lower your friendship with them, which will then not allow you to use them and they might also betray you during battles. You will play as Shin Asuka as the main character, fighting battles will gain you exp.
Then there is the SEED P.L.U.S mode, which is basically story mode which will let you go through the whole event of Gundam SEED Destiny as well as game exclusive what-if events.
There is the arcade mode, which will let you go through various routes, each with their own individual challenges and difficulties, going through arcade will let you unlock new mobile suits and extra content. There is the standard VS mode which can let you compete in fun skirmishes either against CPU or other players (Up to 4), with a lot of stages to select and you can set battle conditions.
The graphics are kind of a double edged sword, while the mechs have incredibly detailed animations and crispy textures the same cannot be said for the background, the environments don't look so good in close up, while they can make the mobile suits look huge it would have been nice to see small 3D tree figures instead of 2D rotating in places, otherwise the buildings look alright.
